College Counseling Information
Students and parents, we know many of you have been diligently researching colleges, planning college visits, and preparing to take either the ACT or SAT this spring as you continue to plan for your educational future after Timothy Christian. Now, with our current, unexpected situation due to COVID-19, many, if not all, of these plans have been put on hold. However, this is still an important time for students, especially juniors, to continue to research and prepare for the upcoming college admissions year, which will begin in August and continue through the 2020-2021 school year.
We wanted to provide and remind you of both new resources you may not have used before and existing resources all TImothy students have access to that will help facilitate your research and planning. Also, please know that both Mr. Huizinga and Mrs. Raley are available to “meet” during this time of e-learning if you have any questions.

If you haven’t used Naviance to begin figuring out your best match colleges, it will be helpful! (Use your TC email and password as your Naviance username and password. You will be required to update your password. We suggest putting your initials at the end of your TC password to make it easy for you.)
- Go to “About Me” and do “My Assessments” and complete all three assessments.
- In “About Me” also go into “My Stuff” and then “My Surveys” and look for “Game Plan” on the left side.
- Start researching with College Supermatch and “heart” the colleges you want to explore further. You can start adding to your “Colleges I’m thinking about” list, which then can become your “Colleges I’m applying to” list later.
