Matt Davidson

Saturday mornings are typically my most productive times at work. Usually it’s uninterrupted time in my office. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean to imply that an interruption is necessarily a bad thing. As a matter of fact, an interruption is often a good thing. And this past Saturday I had two good, actually divine, interruptions.

A Timothy grandparent and dear friend stopped by on Saturday to let me know that he was praying for me and our school. He is a man that I admire and he knows my Saturday morning routine. As he was leaving, he looked me in the eyes and said this: “Let me know if there is anything I can do for you or Timothy.” If there’s one thing I know about this man, it’s that he meant it! At that moment I could have assigned him any task, and he would have tackled it with enthusiasm.

Later the same morning, I received this text from one of our veteran teachers: “Matt, as I am praying for you, what can I take before Jesus specifically for you?” Once again, I was overwhelmed with a deep sense of appreciation and love for Timothy -- our students, our staff, our families, our community.

It was a good reminder of the many people battling for and praying for our school. We work hard around here, and we place our trust in Jesus every step of the way. The mission of Timothy Christian Schools matters to many people...and so many are counting on us right now. Our adversary, the devil, wishes things were different here at Timothy. He doesn’t give up easily, and apart from Christ we cannot achieve victory over him. So let’s stay focused, let’s continue to work hard, let’s stick together in unity, and let’s do all things for the glory of God.

Press on, Timothy.
