From the Desk of the Superintendent: Planning for the Future

We tend to stay on the move around here! And this year is no exception.  

Behind the scenes, we’ve been in conversation with a small group of generous donors who are all-in on the mission of Timothy Christian Schools. Together, we are exploring plans to expand the middle school so our 6th graders can be fully integrated into the WAC. As part of this same project, we are also considering an AI/STEM Center serving students in grades 6–12. Moreover, these plans will also include some elementary renovations and campus-wide security enhancements.

At Timothy, we are committed to avoiding long-term debt. Historically, that has meant raising 75–80% of a project’s total cost before launching a public fundraising campaign. This project is estimated at approximately $10 million, which means we would need to raise roughly $7.5–$8 million before we “green-light” the project and move forward with the public phase where we’ll seek widespread support and participation.

I don’t yet have many additional details to share, but I wanted to let you know about this exciting project. Once we begin formal conversations with the City of Elmhurst—particularly during the public hearing process—information can travel quickly, and we want to be proactive and transparent with our community.

I believe this project is mission-critical…and I’d be deeply grateful for an opportunity to share more with anyone who’d like to generously tackle a big chunk of this. We still need quite a bit of help.
