Girls Basketball Team Posts Three Big Wins

After a week off from games during Renew, the girls basketball team was back in action on January 12 with a 38–37 victory over Bishop Mac. The team had balanced scoring and played tough defense to pull out a one-point victory. Marian Central Catholic was their next opponent, and the girls cruised to a 47–21 victory behind Elisabeth van den Berg’s 19 points. They closed out the week with crosstown rival IC on Saturday, and in a very close and physical game, the girls played great team basketball and beat the Knights 52–44. The team returns to the WAC on Thursday, January 22, against Aurora Christian.
