The Timothy girls tennis team wrapped up their first full week of matches with solid showings at Saturday invites. Timothy faced Chicago Christian and Trinity High School in dual matches on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. The varsity squad swept both matches 5-0. Highlights included Joanna Clohessy prevailing in a 2 1/2 hr singles match over Trinity at 2nd singles. The JV Trojans also won both matches with a number of new players notching their first wins of their tennis careers.

On Saturday, the varsity team traveled to compete in their toughest invite of the season at Niles West. Jane Carter and Angie Tornabene (pictured above) took home first place medals at 2nd and 3rd singles positions respectively. The team finished a solid 4th place vs mostly AA schools.

The JV1 team played at Harper College and took 2nd place in the Elk Grove Quad. Anna Fisher has been impressive so far in her first tennis season.
