The Timothy Girls Track and Field team is off to a great start this year! We just returned from a Tri at Westmont (with Westmont, Immaculate Conception, and Timothy) and we edged out a 1st place by one point.

Some of our stars for that evening included Katelyn Leonard winning the 800 with a 2:34.5, Hannah Schuringa winning the triple jump at 9.15m, and Emily Slovey winning both the shot put and discus at 9.19m and 20.10 respectively.  Finally, I was very proud of our 4x400 team (Cailey Schuurmann, Jenny Lumkes, Paige Hoving, and Katelyn Leonard), who not only won the event but dropped 4 seconds off their time from the previous week to finish at 4:33.5.

We are a fairly young team that is still getting in shape and learning to race, but we see great things in the near future for these girls.
