On Tuesday, October 1, three high school students participated in the District 1 ILMEA High School Auditions held at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park. Todd Rylaarsdam (viola), Darrell Carter (tenor vocal), and Jonathan Pae (cello) were among the 1000 musicians from this region who performed for a judge at the chance to participate in the District 1 Festival Concert on November 23 at Elmhurst College at 4 pm. Students performed a rigorous audition of scales, two prepared passages, and sight-reading. Todd and Darrell will go on to represent Timothy at the concert. Congrats to all these students!
