Jubilee Resale: Volunteers Needed

Amy Bode

Did you know that Timothy has a resale store in Lombard? Jubilee Resale sells gently used clothing and furniture. Profits from the store go directly to The Timothy Fund to lower the cost of tuition for all Timothy families. We are in need of volunteers to serve weekly, monthly, or as your schedule allows. When you volunteer, Timothy wins! See below for our specific needs:

Furniture & Donations Logistics Volunteer

Do you enjoy staying active and working with your hands? We are looking for energetic, dependable volunteers to help with the "heavy lifting" of our mission! This role is vital to keeping our store stocked and helping our donors and customers feel supported.

What You’ll Do:

  • Furniture Prep: Move and arrange furniture pieces to create an inviting sales floor.
  • Customer Support: Assist shoppers by carrying large or heavy purchases to their vehicles.
  • Donation Hero: Greet donors at their cars and help unload incoming items.
  • Merchandising: Get newly donated items out of the back room and onto the floor for shoppers to discover.

Current shift openings: Wednesdays 12:30-4:30pm and 4:30-8:30pm, Saturdays 9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm.

By joining our logistics team, you aren't just moving furniture—you’re helping turn donations into a real difference for our community! Contact Jon Huizinga at huizinga@timothychristian.com to learn more about this opportunity and to sign up to help.

Customer Service, Cashier, and Sorting Volunteer

We are always looking for consistent volunteers to help with customer service and sorting clothing. With several days and time slots available, check out our signup form to see if there is a time that works for you to serve! Questions about serving?
