The Lady Trojans have started out the year 3-3. They lost the first game of the season 44-40 to Proviso West and then began play in the inaugural Elmhurst Classic Thanksgiving Tournament, which was co-hosted by Timothy and Immaculate Conception College Prep. They won the first tournament game against Bremen and then lost to the eventual second place tournament team Trinity. They then beat DePaul Prep in a thrilling comeback from a 15 point deficit, before losing to Lemont in the final game. Grace Roland has been the leading scorer for the Lady Trojans before suffering an ankle injury against Lemont. The team is also led by co-captains Maddie Drye and Tegan Gunn. The Lady Trojans began league play last Thursday with a 40-30 win over Wheaton Academy. Ella Vandermolen and Mili Martens led a stingy Lady Trojan defense, which only allowed 10 points in the second half. The Lady Trojans will play Wheaton St. Francis this Tuesday at home and Chicago Christian on the road December 9.
