This past weekend, the varsity girls volleyball team traveled to Rolling Meadows to play in a quad tournament against Regina Dominican, Rolling Meadows, and Crossroads Christian. The morning began with an easy 2 set victory over Regina Dominican (class 2A). That was followed by another 2 set victory over the host Rolling Meadows (class 4A). Only giving up a total of 54 points in their first 4 sets, the team prepared to take on what would be their toughest competition of the day in Crossroads Christian.

Crossroads Christian is a team for home-schooled students that plays out of Crossroads Christian Youth Center in Big Rock, IL. They won the national homeschool championship last year. As a very physically and mentally sound team, they gave our girls everything they could handle, but the Lady Trojans were able to prevail in 3 sets (25-19, 23-25, 15-11) to finish undefeated on the day and take home their first (and hopefully not only) piece of hardware for the season.
