On March 3-5, sixteen Timothy Christian High School students competed at the Illinois DECA State Career Development Conference in Rosemont. There were over 1200 students competing from across the state. DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is a national organization that helps develop future business leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. The competitions consist of three components written, role-play, and virtual. All teams completed a 100 question test and two role-play scenarios. All Timothy competitors were awarded competency in their event, which means they received a 70% or higher in one or more areas.
