The following is an excerpt from Matt Davidson from the For the Win! Celebration. 

Peter and Heidi Huizenga have been the lead supporters and donors on every project during my twelve years at Timothy. It’s been four years since Peter entered the Kingdom of God, and Heidi has faithfully continued the Huizenga legacy. You are such a dear friend to me, and I can’t imagine the journey without you. And I definitely can’t imagine our school without the Huizenga family.

You always have such good ideas. Some of my favorite moments during my time at Timothy have been brainstorming and dreaming with you for our school. You are a true partner in the work and the mission. You stand firmly on the promises of God…on His Truth. You possess Biblical wisdom, and I continue to learn from you. You like to have fun, and yet there is also a seriousness and depth that I admire about you. You have helped to keep Timothy anchored to God’s Word. 

For those of you in attendance as witnesses, may this annual award serve as a reminder that we will keep the main thing the main thing here at Timothy. Count on it! So on this special occasion, as we launch For the Win! and celebrate the historic 2021-2022 school year, Timothy Christian Schools presents the Outstanding Leadership Award to Heidi Huizenga.
