Congratulations to the Elementary School Spelling Bee winner, fifth grader Violet Hoffer. Sixth grader Lucy Hoogstra was the runner-up. It was a tough battle. They made it through all the elementary school words and moved on to the middle school words. Violet’s winning word was “despite.”
