We are soon approaching Teacher Appreciation Week — May 3 - 7. In any given year, this is one of the highlights! But this year in particular, certainly here at Timothy, our teachers are worthy of special recognition. They’ve all signed up for our mission impossible, and they have been champions for our youth.
Although we have some lunches and other fun activities planned internally, we’re not quite ready to fully return to our traditional celebrations for Teacher Appreciation Week. So this year we’ll follow the advice of the Doobie Brothers, and we’re “takin’ it to the streets.” As a community, let’s rally behind our teachers for their extraordinary commitment to our kids. Please consider personal notes/cards, videos, gifts, etc...be creative! I’m sure some classrooms and parent groups will organize their ideas for a coordinated effort, which is also great! Bottom line: let’s show our appreciation to our teachers in a meaningful way. They’ve stepped up!
The finish line is in view as we approach the end of this historic school year. I’m so proud of our teachers here at Timothy. We’ve been in business for over 110 years, and this class of teachers are worthy of the Trojan Hall of Fame.
Press on, Timothy.
