What: Team Building and Adventure Field Trip
Who: All 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students
When: Thursday, September 9th for the entire school day
Why: The Timothy Foundation has generously helped cover the cost of this amazing trip with a grant. We’ve been separated for too long and had to cancel too many field trips in the past year. Let’s give these students a trip they’ll remember forever.
Where: The Forge: Lemont Quarries is an outdoor adventure park with zip lining, bouldering, paddle boats, laser tag, hiking, lawn games, and high ropes courses. See their website for videos and pictures of what is offered (we will not be doing mountain biking). Timothy Christian will be the only group at the park on this day.
Chaperones Needed
We will have staff attend and monitor behavior, but we’d love to have 10 or more parents come and help out from each grade. Chaperones will need to sign a waiver along with their child’s waiver. Chaperones will be responsible for driving themselves and are free to drive their own child(ren) only to and from The Forge. Click here to sign up to chaperone.
Details
We will travel to The Forge by bus and plan on staying at the park from approximately 9:00 until 2:00. Each student will need to bring a bag lunch and a water bottle. The Forge requires close toed shoes and recommends a hat or bandanna. Ziplining and high ropes has a minimum weight and height requirement of 70 lbs and 52 inches.
To Do and Packing List
Masks are required for the bus and anytime indoors (i.e. bathroom), but will be optional at the outdoor park.
