Timothy Christian HS DECA participated in Regional Competition in Rosemont on Friday, January 24. There were about 1200 students competing from the Western Suburbs. Scott Schnurr placed Top 10 in Automotive Services. David Siangho and Luke Voss placed Top 10 in Business Law & Ethics Team Decision Making. This accomplishment automatically qualifies them for the State competition on March 12-14. The students competed in a variety of areas. Each area required that the student take marketing test and perform two role-play scenarios. The scenarios the student receives the day of competition and have a short amount of time to prepare before presenting to the judge.

Business Law & Ethics Team – David Siangho, Luke Voss
Buying & Merchandising Team – Aidan Veldman, Charlie Schau
Marketing Management Team – Kaitlyn Radoha, Kiana Morrisey
Travel & Tourism Team – Rachel Bergstrom, Kennedi Clark

In addition to the competition yesterday, 7 students prepared written events that are state qualifiers.
Integrated Marketing Campaign – Annika Anderson, Ethan Roemmich, Scott Schnurr
International Business Plan – Matilda Wang, Christina Zhuang
Project Management Event – Luke Voss, Winston Chen
These 8 students are headed to DECA State Competition on March 12-14 where they
will compete for an opportunity to qualify for National Competition.
