Trojan Lane flows inbound to campus both the morning and afternoon.

We are excited about the upcoming grand opening of Trojan Stadium on September 17th! The stadium will be near completion and functionally open for business earlier than that, but the grand opening party is September 17th. Mark your calendar now! The project is moving along nicely, despite the negative impact of a few statewide work strikes in related trades/industries. In addition to the stadium, of course, we are also excited about Trojan Lane. We have witnessed robust enrollment trends for eight consecutive years, which has brought more vehicles onto our campus over the years. Our campus is full! So we’re working hard to accommodate our growth in every aspect. As a reminder, Trojan Lane was developed by engineers and city officials to alleviate traffic on Prospect. (It remains to be seen if this will also improve the flow of traffic on campus.) Although all vehicles will continue to exit onto Prospect, we are confident – based on a professional traffic study – that fewer cars attempting to enter our campus from both sides of Prospect will prevent the long back-ups and “stacking” of cars up and down Prospect.

At this time, as a simple guide, we are encouraging everyone who lives east of York Road to use Trojan Lane – regardless of how far north or south from Timothy. (For those who live west of York Road, we are encouraging you to use the same traffic patterns you are accustomed to.) After a few weeks of observations, we might discover a better and more “scientific” breakdown. But for now, this makes the most sense numerically and geographically. As we approach the start of school, please take a moment to review some of the guidelines related to this new ingress/egress for our campus.

  • Trojan Lane will be open from 7:45am–8:30am and 2:30pm–3:15pm on school days only. (Wednesday times will adjust accordingly to our bell schedule.) Trojan Lane will be gated and locked — off limits — at all other times.
  • Please access Trojan Lane by taking Brush Hill Road to Euclid Ave. (See aerial map as a reference.) It is important that we avoid Harvard Ave, per the request of Elmhurst Hospital.
  • We will have an attendant on duty where Trojan Lane feathers into the high school parking lot. (See aerial map as a reference.) This attendant will keep traffic moving on campus and make certain that vehicles on Trojan Lane can safely enter the campus flow of traffic.
  • Students should enter and exit a vehicle at approved locations only. Please do not allow your child to enter or exit your vehicle until you have arrived at the designated pick-up/drop-off zones. The crosswalk on Prospect (directly across from the faculty lot) is not a drop-off zone. This is true for all vehicles at all times.
  • Don’t forget that you are able to drop off your child anytime after 7:45am in the middle school and 7:55am in the elementary school. If you are able to arrive even a few minutes before the “rush” in the morning, you will find nothing but smooth sailing on campus. Try it!
  • We also encourage you to consider the bus. We know based on surveys among private schools that our bus ridership fee is well below market.
  • Please be patient! It will take some time to adapt to these changes, but in time we are confident that you will find the drop-off/pick-up experience to be more pleasant and user-friendly.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation with these guidelines.
