Varsity Girls Basketball Finishes December Strong

The varsity girls basketball team finished December in strong fashion, winning seven of its nine games. The team is currently 9–3, tied for second place in the Chicago Christian Conference, and finished fifth out of 16 teams at the Lisle Cager Tournament over Christmas. The team has been playing steady defense, sharing the ball on offense, and pushing the pace of the game as much as possible. The girls are back in action on January 12 against Bishop Mac.
 

A special congratulations to Elisabeth van den Berg, who was one of ten players selected to the All-Tournament Team at Lisle. She averaged 21 points and 15 rebounds for the tournament in an outstanding effort.
