For the fourth consecutive year, Timothy Christian’s Virtual Enterprises International (VEI) students have qualified for the National Competition at the Youth Business Summit in New York City on April 7-8.

Timothy’s VEI firm, REMedy, competed in the VE Regional Department Competitions on February 13, showcasing their business acumen and teamwork. Their dedication paid off:

• Finance Team (Pictured below from L to R: Gavin Ozinga, Charlie Crichton, Peter Buikema, Richard Parson) placed 1st.
• Marketing Team (Audrey Carlton, Norah Rudman, Sarah Loerop, Jacob Knox) placed 4th.

This achievement is no small feat. To qualify for Nationals, the firm prepared a written plan for review.  Out of 33 submissions, only the top 10 advanced to the second round, where they delivered oral presentations. From there, just four teams earned a coveted spot at Nationals—Timothy Christian’s REMedy among them. This is the first time that the Timothy Christian VE program has qualified in these events for Nationals. The Finance and Marketing team will join the Business Plan team who previously qualified for the National Competition.

VEI is an international program and a key component of Timothy’s Business program. But it’s far more than a class. VEI provides an immersive, hands-on experience that simulates the real world of entrepreneurship. Students create and run virtual businesses, develop comprehensive business plans, and compete in national events that challenge their skills in finance, marketing, and leadership. Through this program, students sharpen their critical thinking, problem-solving, and public speaking skills—preparing them to lead with confidence in college, careers, and beyond.
