The Lady Trojans tennis team is closing out another very successful tennis campaign. Following up on their undefeated 16-0 2020 season, they are currently 9-2-1 in dual meets with a very young squad. The Trojans recently wrapped up their very competitive tournament schedule. All five season tournaments are versus AA schools. They placed second at Ottawa and Elk Grove and placed first at the Willowbrook Invite. This past weekend the Timothy girls took on four much bigger schools in the 28 team Lockport Invite including Lockport Hight School with 4,000 students. They dropped the match to Lockport 3-2 with Jane Carter winning at first singles 6-0 6-1 and Crystina Lee and Clarissa Chen victorious at #1 doubles 6-4, 6-1. A close loss at #3 doubles wrapped up the match. The team ended the two day event in 7th place out of 28 teams. 

Leading the way are two sophomores and a freshman. Sophomore Crystina Lee boosts a 27-3 record at 1st singles and 1st doubles. She has beaten several former state qualifiers in both singles and doubles. Her two year record is 48-4!  Fellow sophomore Clarissa Chen has focused her year primarily at 1st doubles and currently holds a 24-6 record this season combining with a 21-0 freshmen year. Joining the dynamic duo is freshman Jane Carter currently at 26-4 at 1st doubles and 1st singles. 

Maddie Drye and Miliana Martens hold down the 2nd doubles position, Angie Tornabene is playing 2nd singles and 9-4 over last two weeks. Kate Carpenter, Victory Adams, Joanna Clohessy, Hannah Preitauer and Kaye Galang round out the line-up at 3rd singles and 4th doubles. 

The MSC conference wraps up this week with a dual vs St. Francis and then hosting conference at Berens Park Elmhurst. The State Series begins with Sectionals on October 15-16, which Timothy will host. The State Tourney will follow beginning Thursday, October 2. Senior day is Thursday October 7 at 4pm vs Fenton.
