Hudson Tseng Tops State-Ranked Opponent in Two-Hour Match

Over the past seven days, the boys tennis team has gone 2–2, bringing their overall record to 4–6. Timothy defeated Proviso East 6–0 and Lisle 5–1, with close losses to Nazareth Academy (2–3) and St. Francis (1–4). Improved play has been evident across the team, with standout performances from Michael Grandolfo, Haoren Han, and Micha Barshinger.
The highlight of the match on Monday night was the No. 1 singles showdown between Timothy’s Hudson Tseng (ranked 5th in the Illinois High School Association) and Umar Bajwa (ranked 6th in the IHSA). Hudson defeated Umar 7–6, 6–2 in an exciting two-hour match.
Timothy is back on the court Tuesday vs. Northridge Prep at 4:15pm and Wednesday vs. Willowbrook at 4:00pm, with both matches at Timothy Christian.
