On a Roll: Timothy Girls Soccer Heads into Regionals on an Eight-Game Winning Streak

Coach Nate Drye

The Timothy Christian Girls Soccer team wrapped up the regular season with another strong performance, earning a 2-0 victory over Willowbrook. The Trojans were led offensively by goals from Mia Schilf (her 16th of the season) and Lucy Wilgenburg (her 7th), while Mackenzie Laslo added two assists. Emily White and the Trojan defense recorded their eighth shutout of the season with another composed defensive effort.

The win marked Timothy’s eighth straight victory as the team continues its impressive late-season push. The Trojans once again controlled possession for much of the match, creating numerous scoring opportunities through unselfish play and great teamwork. It was another complete team effort, with players consistently making the extra pass and working together across the field.

One of the most exciting parts of this season has been watching the group continue to improve and grow together. The chemistry, confidence, and unity of this team have continued to develop throughout the year, and it has been a pleasure to watch.

The Trojans now turn their attention to postseason play. After earning a first-round bye, Timothy will host the winner of IC and Farragut in the Regional Championship game on Friday, May 22, at 6:00 p.m. at Timothy Christian. The girls are excited for the opportunity and would love to see a big Timothy crowd supporting them as the playoffs begin.
