Senior Earns Prestigious Full-Tuition Scholarship

Senior Evie Bode was selected as a John Wesley Honors College Luther Lee Scholar at Indiana Wesleyan University—one of the university’s most prestigious full-tuition scholarships. IWU awards just four to five Luther Lee Scholarships each year to its top incoming students. The process is highly competitive, including multiple essays and an on-campus interview for finalists.

The expectations are high: students typically rank in the top 10% of their class, have a GPA of 3.7+, and/or earn a 30+ ACT or 1380+ SAT—all while demonstrating leadership and meaningful contributions to their communities. The Luther Lee Scholars program is rooted in Christian liberal arts, leadership development, and service, equipping students to learn in community and engage in the work of the Kingdom of God.

Evie plans to pursue nursing and hopes to become a pediatric cardiac nurse—a calling that reflects her compassion and heart for serving others. Indiana Wesleyan’s nursing program—where graduates achieved a 100% licensure pass rate—will provide an excellent foundation as she prepares for that path.
