Please join us for our preschool and kindergarten information night on Tuesday, January 15 at 6:45 pm to learn more about early education at Timothy. Our Illinois certified teachers foster each child’s spiritual, social, emotional, and academic growth. Our program also features curriculum-related field trips, individual, small group, and whole group instruction.
Children are free to play, learn, and explore. Each child learns about God and his world through music, movement, arts and crafts, language development, and cooperative play.
We offer morning, afternoon, and full day kindergarten and preschool options. You will be informed of your child’s placement on February 9 for preschool and February 16 for kindergarten.
In an effort to identify the specific needs of the kindergarten class, all incoming kindergarten students (including those attending TCS preschool) will be screened for speech development, social and emotional development, large muscle development, and general kindergarten readiness. This screening will be held on Wednesday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 20.
Priority placement for preschool and kindergarten will be given to families with children already enrolled in Timothy’s P-12 program and families from our supporting churches. However, if a section of kindergarten or preschool is oversubscribed, we will conduct a random selection of all interested families (based on the priority system) to determine who will be enrolled in the different sections. Individuals not selected in this process will receive their next available choice and be placed on a waitlist for their first choice.
Kindergarten and preschool at Timothy gives students a strong foundation for future academic success. We hope to see you on Tuesday.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Mr. Dan Quist, Director of Admissions at firstname.lastname@example.org for information on how to register your child.
