Matt Davidson Named Chairman of the Illinois Coalition of Nonpublic Schools
Amy Bode

Superintendent Matt Davidson was recently named the Chairman of the Board for the Illinois Coalition of Nonpublic Schools (ICNS). ICNS exists to be an advocate for nonpublic education in Illinois by actively promoting nonpublic school independence, mission, school choice, and parental rights. ICNS is the voice of all nonpublic education in Illinois.

Additionally, Matt has been named the state representative for the Council for American Private Education (CAPE), a national organization dedicated to promoting the vital role of private schools in American education and their significant contributions to educating the public and promoting the common good. Directly from their website, CAPE is also committed to defending the rights of parents to educate their children in the schools of their choice while encouraging excellence in education and promoting the right of private schools to fulfill their unique missions. CAPE believes in fostering the participation of the private school community in shaping the nation’s education agenda, monitoring and analyzing legislation and regulations affecting private schools, providing information about private education to policy-makers and the public, and keeping YOU informed about the private school community issues and programs.

Matt will be in Washington, D.C., a few times a year on behalf of the private school movement in our state…and of course, on behalf of Timothy Christian Schools. Let’s be sure to keep him in our prayers.

We couldn’t think of a better person for the job! Congratulations!
