Taste of Timothy
Robert Venhousen

Praise God! Taste of Timothy was another huge success and a great celebration! Over 200 guests enjoyed food from Italy, Mexico, Spain, and Thailand. The Drake Hotel - Oak Brook was abuzz with laughter and great conversation. New friends were made and old friends reunited. Guests enjoyed special music from members of our high school chamber singers and jazz band. It was a night filled with the reminder that Christ-centered community is at the heart of Timothy.

Timothy’s summer construction project, Paving the Way, was announced at Taste of Timothy. Paving the Way will bring a new parking lot with 63 additional on-campus spots. This parking lot will serve to alleviate congestion during drop off and pick up times, provide ample parking for our high school drivers, and increase parking availability onsite for community events. The cost of this project is $750,000 and will include permeable pavers, lighting, enhanced security features, improved walkways and landscaping.

Many pledges and gifts were already received at the Taste of Timothy. If you would like to participate in giving, it’s not too late. Gifts of all sizes are welcomed. For more details about Paving the Way or to make a pledge to give by the end of the year, contact Bob Venhousen at venhousen@timothychristian.com or 630.782.4072. We are so thankful to God for this opportunity and enhancement for our school.

To God be the Glory! A sincere thank you to all who participated and volunteered to make Taste of Timothy an amazing event. One of the highlights of the evening for many of us was hearing our students sing “How Great Thou Art.” We can certainly attest that our God is great!
