Team Timothy Celebrates Record-Breaking Golf Outing
Amy Bode

All-time highs included 99 sponsors, 230 golfers, 16 volunteers, and 40 student athlete ambassadors. For the third consecutive year our event revenue exceeded $230,000!

At Timothy, athletics are more than just winning titles and state trophies — athletics serve as a training ground to develop leaders who compete with integrity. Timothy’s athletic program is heavily funded by private donations, 80% of which come through the golf outing, making it the largest and most significant fundraiser. On September 18, 2023, 230 golfers headed out to Stonebridge Country Club in Aurora. It was a perfect day. We realized the incredible blessings of this great weather since it had rained the two days prior to the event and the day after.

We started the morning and afternoon rounds reflecting on Psalm 89:5-8. “The heavens praise your wonders, Lord, your faithfulness too….Who is like you, God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.” We reflected on how good God is to our school and how faithful He is to bless us with amazing students and very generous donors. We give God all the glory for the results of the Timothy outing.

Join us in giving God praise and thanks as we celebrate another record-breaking year! All-time highs included 99 sponsors, 230 golfers, 16 volunteers, and 40 student-athlete ambassadors. For the third consecutive year, our event revenue exceeded $230,000! Amazing!

To all of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, student ambassadors, and Golf Committee members — you played a critical role in our achievement. Thank you for coming alongside us to build an excellence-driven athletic program at Timothy Christian Schools. Everything we do — on and off the field – is all for the Glory of God.
