An Unwavering Mission

All students, alumni, parents, grandparents, and community members are called to donate on Timothy Giving Day.

Sharon Sianghio didn’t know how she would afford tuition for her two youngest children. Her two oldest had already graduated, and she had witnessed how a Christ-centered education had impacted them. She’d watched their faith develop over the years. So pulling her youngest two out of Timothy just didn’t seem right.

But she simply couldn’t make the tuition payment. “I called the school,” she remembers. “I asked if we could apply for aid. Then we just started praying.”

Her two boys didn’t want to leave Timothy. They were deeply involved with the drama department and Mock Trial, and they wanted a Biblically-based education.

It wasn’t long before the Sianghio family received the news that they would receive aid through the Timothy Fund.

“Our prayers were answered,” Mrs. Sianghio says. “It was incredible to witness our children praying and seeing that God did answer, because this is where God wants them.”

The Timothy Fund not only offers tuition assistance, it also provides academic and teacher support, maintains facilities and technologies, and helps fund student leadership and development. It supports every Timothy student and has helped make Christ-centered education accessible to families for decades. As costs increase, the Timothy Fund helps close the gap for all students. In fact, this year’s school-wide tuition increase of less than 1%, which is historically low, is due in part to the Timothy Fund.

The Fund has a goal of raising $600,000 this school year. The money will be raised through various ways. On February 11, Timothy Christian will hold its first Giving Day. All students, alumni, parents, grandparents, and community members are called to donate on this special day. All donations will go to the Timothy Fund.

The Timothy Fund has helped to limit the tuition increase for the upcoming school year to less than 1%.

Donations from the annual Jog-a-Thon have also played an important role in the Timothy Fund. This year is special because it’s the 10th annual Jog-a-thon. Almost 2,500 gifts are raised each year solely from this event, making it a crucial part of the Fund.

But the money that goes to this Fund is not raised from the Jog-a-thon and Timothy Giving Day alone. It is dependent on parents, grandparents, businesses, foundations, and alumni donating to the Fund all year long.

“The amazing thing about the Timothy Fund is that no amount is too big or too small,” Robert Venhousen, the Director of Advancement says. “Every gift helps support the mission of Timothy Christian Schools and that is to develop courageous leaders who live out their purpose in Christ. God is doing mighty things through the lives of students for His glory and eternal purposes. The Timothy Fund is providing students with the resources that are necessary to do this.”

Sharon Sianghio’s message is simple: “Please express my deepest gratitude to the entire Timothy community. I am so thankful for everything they have done for our family and continue to do for us. I cannot thank them enough. Please make sure they know that.”

The Sianghio’s are proof that God’s goodness and faithfulness is continually working through the Timothy Fund. Behind our school is an unwavering mission to develop leaders who are equipped to go out into the world to make a difference for Jesus Christ. The Timothy Fund is supporting them in this mission. The Sianghio’s and every other family supported by this Fund is eternally grateful for your generosity.

The Timothy Fund helps support tuition, teachers, & facilities.

Please make a meaningful gift to the Timothy Fund today.

There are many ways to express your support of Timothy Christian Schools and our mission. No matter how you make your gift, or where you direct your support, it is needed and any amount is deeply appreciated.

“To me, Timothy means family. When I was at my lowest point, the Timothy community was ready to envelope me in love and pick me back up. The teachers of Timothy Christian can truly not be matched. They are some of the most selfless people I’ve ever met. The way that they exemplify the Lord in their actions amazes me. I have met some of the most incredible people over the past eleven years as a Trojan. Their teachings of academics and life lessons, not to mention their love for the Lord, will forever remain unmatched. Thank you Timothy.”
