The STEAM Museum made a stop at our gym last Tuesday to give our students the hands-on opportunity to participate in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math activities. Workstations were set up throughout the gym where students were exposed to high-tech experiences.
This mobile museum had something for all grade levels and interests! Students began with a short demonstration of NAO, a programmable and interactive humanoid robot, as he moved to music, responded to questions, and followed programmed directions. After that, excited students were able to move freely about the gym to explore stations like the 3D printer, Bike Generator, Parabolic Arch and Programmable Robots! This highly innovative, and engaging experience was brought to us through the generosity of PIE, several volunteers and MobileEd Productions.
Thank you to PIE, our volunteers for your help, and to Ms. Groenewold for lending the gym to us for the day!
