Praise God for his goodness! Our first Taste of Timothy was a huge success! Attended by nearly 200 people, guests enjoyed food from Italy, Germany, Mexico, America and the Caribbean. The high school halls were filled with laughter and great conversation. New friends were made and old friends reunited.
A presentation was given by Matt Davidson on Project Impact highlighting the plan and the vision behind the project. During dessert time, Bob Venhousen wrapped up the night with praise, prayer, and an invitation for everyone in our community to participate in this campaign. God is so good! With the generosity of those in attendance the Taste of Timothy brought in $407,050 in gifts and pledges. It was also announced that a group of nine Timothy families together pledged $110,000 as a matching gift for this event.
Since the match was met the total funds raised from the Taste of Timothy is presently at $507,050 with more gifts to come. We are so thankful to God for these amazing results for our school. Our community fundraising goal that started this year at $4,000,000 is now at $2,538,000. We will continue to work hard on our school’s behalf to complete 100% of the fundraising needed for this project and to keep our school debt free.
If you would still like to pledge a 1-3 year gift towards this event you may do so this week. You can do so on-line or by sending in a pledge card or a check made payable to Timothy Christian Schools. A sincere “Thank You” to all who gave and to all who volunteered to make this event an amazing night for TCS. To God be the Glory!
